Resumen
En el presente artículo se analizan desde una aproximación cuantitativa las intervenciones de los europarlamentarios del Grupo Popular Europeo y del Partido Conservador del Reino Unido en las sesiones plenarias durante la crisis de los refugiados entre enero de 2015 y junio de 2017, además de dos incidentes de gran impacto en 2020. Se ha investigado la terminología utilizada en alemán, español e inglés, especialmente cuándo se sirven de las palabras refugiado y migrante/s en los tres idiomas. La fuente principal ha sido la página web del Parlamento Europeo. En los resultados, observamos que existe una clara diferencia entre las intervenciones en lengua alemana, donde la palabra Flüchtling (refugiado) es la más utilizada, siendo el término Migrant (migrante) mucho menos frecuente. En español hay menos variedad de términos utilizados, mientras que se ha utilizado más la palabra migrante que en alemán. Las intervenciones en lengua inglesa presentan muchas más expresiones diferentes junto con migrante/s y su número también es porcentualmente el más alto de los tres idiomas.

Abstract
This article analyses from a quantitative approach the interventions of MEPs from the European People’s Party and the UK Conservative Party in plenary sessions during the refugee crisis between January 2015 and June 2017 as well as two high-profile incidents in 2020. The terminology used in German, Spanish and English was investigated, especially when using the words refugee and migrant/s in all three languages. The main source was the website of the European Parliament. In the results, we observed that there is a clear difference between the German language interventions where the word Flüchtling (refugee) is the most frequently used word, with the term Migrant being much less frequent. In Spanish, there is less variety of terms used, while the word migrant was used more frequently than in German. The English interventions have many more different phrases with migrant/s and their number is the highest percentage of the three languages
